During set up, after the bit touches the side plate it looks for the surface. I get a message that says ensure sliding plate is set (1) retry (2) abort. The sliding plate is in the proper position. I've tried multiple times. I've formatted the memory card and uploaded the file with a different name. I still get the same message. This same file was used for a different carving about a week ago. The current version has had minor changes made to it. ???????????????
Not sure what the prob is, possible to try another carve just to see if it gets past this point or stops the same way. Should prove if it is the project or the machine. Is it possible that the bit has slid upward and is not reaching the plate?
I have a second machine. I put the memory card in the other machine and it works fine. The piece of wood in this machine is about 1 1/2 inches thick. The set up used to ask if the plate was in place, then ask the thickness of the wood and then start the carve.
Sorry, missed your reply. Did you move the 1 1/2 thick wood to the other machine along with the card? Have had the same response as you regarding being asked the thickness but can't remember if I entered the correct thickness in the project or not. Also can't remember what bit I was using. Don't have a definite answer, trying to think of things that may affect how the machine responds
