Greetings Everyone!

I've owned my machine since the "Compucarve" days when you could buy them at Sears, how many remember that store?

My first machine had to be returned because it kept stalling.

I have owned the second (A series) machine since then.

and believe it or not it still works just fine even with Designer 5.

I recently started using my machine again and have had a few stalls while carving a large piece (48" Long)

I intend on being active in the community this time around.

Looking forward to seeing you all in the Forum.

Now get carvin'.... 😎

Best Regards,

Michael

Hey Rick, Nice to meet ya.

I was able to deduce that the trouble I was having with the stalls was due to a failing power supply. I called up to ask about the newer power supply and ordered it right away.  The person I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and said they would build out the power supply and send it out.

What a great company to do business with.

They:

  • Always call back same day, often with in the hour
  • Are always very helpful up to and including providing any files that might be necessary for updates.

All of this makes me glad that I chose to buy their product.

Glad to hear you're on the road to carving. I remember A machines had a problem the popped up with th power supply. Mine had the problem years ago, almost forgot it. I was lucky that on the original forum there were several 'techies' who totally understood the machine and loved taking them apart. One had found a problem on the printed circuit board in the power supply that would go open. I built a bridge over the fault and fixed mine.

Happy carving as they say

Rick
