Hello group,

My name is James and I have CarveWright ver C that I have used for years, love the machine and software. My question is I was wondering what other users are using for dust collection for their CarveWright? I am in the process of setting up my new shop and I don't have any of my Onieda dust collection cyclone or lines up yet. I was wondering if anyone was using a large shop vac for collection? I have 6.5 HP Dewalt connected to a mullet cyclone separator and was going to use it for the time being to do some carves with until I get the big system put back up. Would like to hear if anyone has used a shop vac and if so what issues did they have? I know the shop vac's are not designed for long time continuous use but I don't want to speed money on a stand/cart mounted cyclone fan type system since I already have one. Thanks in advance

James Manning.

Sorry just noticed my message posted in the wrong forum, I meant it to go into the introduce yourself section. Maybe a moderator can move it.

thanks

Used a Craftsman for the first year or so after I bought my Ver A. I never had a problem, just changed the filter often trying to keep the cfm up. Believe a few had problems while vacuuming the machine out with the carver turned on. Static arc got the computer. Best my memory has.

Happy carving, Rick
