Infeed/Outfeed Rubber Belts Drive Gear

The gear that is engaged with the motor has some striped teeth and needs to be replaced. I have taken the side cover off but can't remove the gear due a lip on the housing preventing the gear from sliding off of the shaft. Any suggestions on how to remove the gear and the part number for it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Looking at your 2007 join date I am betting the gear assembly in your machine is two separate pieces. They have upgraded it with a one plate assembly. You might have to remove both plates in order to get it above the small lip. Also you will need to take the 2 screws out that hold the motor to the frame.

I didn't look at the links but here is my readers digest version..... Many years ago I found that a dremel tool was great to remove that lip of plastic to let you pull that gear off to access the back one that is stripped. It really does not weaken the machine in "MY" opinion. I use a strip of tape over the gap when I place the plastic cover back on to keep the dust out.

I first tried to remove the motor but the danger is damaging the wires and plug with the motor removed... so cut the case....

Be sure to clean all gears to find the broken teeth that can jam the new gear.

My rubber front belts slip, especialy in cut path mode .The belt stops and the roller is still turning and the back belt. also turning. Is there a way to tightin it or put belt dressing on it.I think it has expnded. Thanks Bert (all x gears are alright)

There is a woven backing so I do not think it could stretch much. Is it torn? Is the seem split? If not, the spring tensioning must be jammed. Is it full of sawdust? Take it apart.
