When is your surgery scheduled Jack? I will keep my fingers crossed for you and say a prayer that you recover quickly so you can get right back to carving. The surgery while major is one that is done more and more frequently and the technology is much improved so the recuperation time is less and less. (I am a nurse in my other non wood working life)

A few years ago, my teenage son had a brain aneurysm blow while in school. He was supposed to go on a 14 mile hike in the back woods with his outdoor ed class that day after school. Someone was looking out for him, he never would have stood a chance had he been on that hike. Timing is everything - and if they know in advance, the odds get much much better. My son graduated this year and you'd never know the difference. It's probably changed me more than it has him!

    Thoughts are with you
