    Default Not getting it

Hello all, I've been reading these posts for awhile but not getting it.
I'm trying to put 3D textures into a line drawing. and not having much luck getting it to look right.
The editing software I'm useing is called Ability Photo paint studio.
But I am not exactly familure with it iether. (read computer ignorant).

I have seen a lot of referals to coral draw, but cant be shelling out more for something I may just never figure out.

Just what is it the machine is looking for when it comes to contuers?

Been weeks working witih this and cant seem to get anywhere.

I'm trying to fill this drawing out to use in a plaque, I've tried to fill it in manually in grey colors, i've used despeceling and bluring and tried manually blending shades to get depth to the frogs but i cant get a good form, they come out flat.
I've played with the carve region and depth setting also but about all i can get is to set the carve depth deep enough to use as a guide and hand carve them the old way with hand tools.

    Wesley,
Ok, dont take this the wrong way, but you are jumping in at a very advanced level of usage of the machine. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish, you might be better off to get used to the machine by working with items in the gallery, or designing things up in the carvewright designer to get the machine going.
Now with that said, if you are bent on working on things like this, you are leaning more into advanced graphics design. An excellent resource, while it is in another software (corel draw), is www.allcw.com The methods are probably very similar in even though in different softwares. Jon Jantz has a couple of excellent tutorials on his site that show a lot of the basic methods for making a sign. I would highly recommend starting there. The best thing other than that would be to get tutorials, or do more reading on information specific to your software. Good luck!!

    Happy Carving,

    Ron

Thanks Ron, I have edited many digital photos for my camera but this IS a whole new ball game. I just recieved the .ptn converter from Jeff Birt and it is a sweet tool!
Been working on a few other designs to keep from getting frog-eyed. lol
Still, my analog mind is slowly getting more digital.
Working on some finishing trials today and may actually have a pic to share soon.
