Figured out they were engine halves, but didn't know which ship. Looking good and we look forward to seeing your finished creation.

+1 what has been said about Alan. He is also a generous guy.
Sometimes I'm just totally underwhelmed!

a buddy of mine would really be interested in having one made for him....any way to purchase the files when you are done??? love the voyager in the picture too...my friend freaked out with the pic of the Pegasus...now need to make a couple vipers....lol
Wow know that is a great carve. Where did you find the pattern. Everyone wants to know.
This project that peep is working on is the Pegasus space ship. I cut out all the pieces from a 3D model that I imported as an stl file into the STL Importer software, and cut it up into pieces and touched up the patterns to run as a carve on two sides of the board. There are 9 boards in all some of them 14 inches wide. That's approximately how wide the project is. There are 13 patterns all together, some boards are double sided some aren't.
I put line patterns on the parts to resemble the line patterns on the ship.
This is a hard project to run. Your wood needs to be straight so the machine measures both sides right to get things centered good. And its probably a total of 200 hours of carve time depending on what setting you upload to your card.
I'll sell this pattern if anybody wants to buy it for $35
I'm really not interested in making patterns like this. They're hard to do. I would charge $20 per pattern or per side on something similar to this. The cost would add up quick.
I have re-made several boards for peep. Splitting the patterns up for less carve time and less chance for errors while carving, as well as getting rid of some of the extra flash pieces between the parts.
I'll be talking to my buddy on Thursday...I figured it would be a massive project but it looks frackin awesome!!!....lol galactica frans would understand...lol
