ID:	54523 When I was younger my uncle Geddy used to take me and brother fishin' all the time. He taught us to whittle to keep us occupied when the fish weren't bitin'. Today is his 80th birthday. I bought the bluegill ptn from www.carvemore.com. I finished it first in golden oak, the layered it with american walnut. The two coats of high gloss poly. Knocked the gloss down with 600, buffed it with a white scotch pad. Then waxed it with mother's carnuba. If your wondering why I used walnut, he also taught us to think of others. Every fall we would gather walnuts and crack them until our hands were black. So he could make pans of fudge that we delivered to the elders in our neighborhood.
