Helpful Reminder about old projects
Hey Guys,
Just a heads up to check your older projects for "max cut depth". I finally got around to carving the "Wilderness Eagle Clock" project. After several hours of smooth and quiet carving, thanks to my new "Rock" chuck, I loaded the 1/8" cutting bit and hit enter. After homing, the bit plunged all the way through the board carved about 2 inches at full depth and, you guessed it, "snap!" I revisited the pattern and realized that there were no "Max Cut Depths" entered. I believe that this pattern was created before the "Max Cut" was available in later versions of Designer. Found the same thing in the "Sailboat Weather Predictor". No worries. I set cut depths to .2, made a 0 depth carve region, reloaded the file, and after a short "air carve" viola beautiful clock.
From now on I'll, "Check 'em before I load 'em" and save the $25!
BTW - Great looking project Michael. Thank You. I'm making four of them.

Max Depth
Good Idea. I Have Been Doing That For A Long Time Now. Don't Know What Made Me Start To Check, But I Think It Helps A Lot.
