Sorry, but you can not make a pattern from vector paths.

Hey Rob, don't know every other way to it. but your answer does not give her an alternative of solving her problem I think she is new in CW like myself so maybe we can lessen the sarcasm and help her if we can. Hilda sorry I can't help you but I'm sure someone has a better explanation why you can't.
Rob's answer was correct. It is currently not possible to convert a vector path into a pattern. The only options that are currently available would be to re-draw the item in an external photo software: photoshop, Coreldraw, paint, paint.net, etc, and save it to an image file, which can then be imported into the software.

Rob's right - can't make a pattern out of vector paths.
You can, however, save the project as an mpc, name it "wine Bottle", then when you want to place that bottle into a new mpc, simply open it, select all, copy it, and then paste it in the new project.
BTW, the only time Rob gets sarcastic is when you criticize his designs
