Maybe if you explained what you have been doing to/with the machine we could make some guesses.
i had just installed the y gear assembly
Make sure that the wiring on the top cover that plugs into the card on the back of the Y rail is not plugged in upside down. These are the wires you have to unplug to get the cover off. Also make sure the clear cover tab is making good contact with the switch plunger and that the clear cover is not twisted.

Snicker... Yes, white wire to the center of the machine.... Yes, even I installed it 180 degrees out too... hope that fixes it...

tried everything still come up the the close cover error
As a last resort, to trouble shoot, try disconnecting the FFC ribbon. A short in the 5V system somewhere can cause the message.
