    Talking #49

This is # 49 first one 4/4 size carved with the CW/CC machine. I Carved the plates and the rest was done by hand.

I know that 1. It is possible. 2. Without everyone's help I would have given up last year.

    Thumbs up That is great!

    FiddlemakerMills,

I opened and closed your thumbnail three or four times to take it all in, it is beautiful.

If I recall correctly, it is pretty small scale and my joints started hurting as I looked at it.

    Beautiful!

    Sorry Doc

I failed to state that this is a 4/4 size instrument. The back sides and neck are a low grade currly maple. The top is spruce. It has a shellac finish sprayed on and then micro-meshed to 2400 between each coat.

Thanks for reminding me about the size.

Actualy the wodgrain had me confused since I could not figure out how you got that to scale-down, so I sorta felt it was full sized but was not sure.

It is a wonderful effort either way.

    Thumbs up Hats Off!

    Carl,

Fantastic job Mr. FiddleMaker! What a beautiful piece of music you have put together! Like Doc, I have gone back to look at it over and over!

I don't know how much, if any, credit I can take on #49, I do not recognize any of my handy work at all!

Now we just need to figure out how to get some sound on the forum!!

    Carl,

That is indeed an exceptional piece of work!! AMAZING!!!

But I have to ask, not knowing a thing about it, what does 4/4 scale mean?

Being as I'm old, I'm from the old math school...LOL. 4/4 to me means 1.
