    Chris,

They got the name right "Splinter" for the car. That is what it would be if it hit anything at 240 mph...

    Thanks for sharing..

Not wood related but some thing for the gear heads

Yea...LOL...as would ANY car at that speed!!

Although if you watch the various videos, the process they invented and use for weaving the wood produces some pretty tough panels.

Yeah, but I still think that it would "splinter" if it struck something going those speeds. Any normal car would!

Would be interesting on paint schemes....just sand and stain it! Oh yeah, seal with polycrylic too!

Funny? I thought I said that???

Maybe there's an echo in here I guess...LOL

BOY! I can remember a day when REAL woodworkers would simply appreciate the workmanship of something like this.

Guess I'm getting WAY too old....

That is too cool! Just be careful, internal combustion plus a lot of wood may not mix well. But, with the body being that light I bet it would get incredible gas mileage. Either way, I wish I had one in my driveway just to show off!

I know why you dropped off the forum for a while....to GEEK...I've been geeking the net for 2 years to build some composite kayaks and paddles and incorporate some vacuum bagging when possible. And you stumble on this first.

Nice find!!!! Thanks. I'm just kidding about the geeking thing...we all have priorities.

I always appreciate your input and glad to see you posting more often.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but the car has been here before. Ike posted months ago.

Sorry didn't realize I posted the reply in wrong thread, just checked to see if it was the same car and was going to post it here. Deleted other post.
