Default bit plate not swinging out to carve text

I am in the middle of a project, I just did the carving and the bit plate came out just fine, but when I loaded the v60 bit, the plate does not swing out far enough for the bit to hit the plate. The truck does not seem to be moving far enough to engage the plate and make it swing out. Any ideas?

    Jeff

Ok, fixed the problem, had a piece of shaving caught under the bit plate.
