    Default the unknown

    I have my machine for 2-3 months now am going to try the probe any thing that will bite me I need to know about....like dont try this or that?

    Unhook the flex shaft. Search or just read al the tips in the probe forum.
    The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

    Do it on a Mac.

    I've only used mine a couple of times and from what I've seen there's not much more to add really. Other than that don't try to scan anything soft or easily damaged.
