Something that helps cleaning up flat areas (carve regions) is a scraper.
Not sure how many people use them as I "Discovered" them about a dozen years ago and found that a lot of people have never used Cabinet Scrapers.
They are generally too big for what I want so I just use an old 1/2 chisel (nearly straight up and down) or some smaller ones that I've made from other metal parts. They take a little getting use to, but they can do things in a hurry (including making a scratch if you aren't careful).

The wilderness eagle clock is beautiful.
I have been asked to do a clock (and i dont have my machine yet)
for a retiring CSM in the National Guard. I want to put the CSM rank
fairly large on the clock someplace along with a couple of other patches.
Does anyone know of a clock design that would be large enough to fit all that on?
Thanks
Hello Eva,
CarveWright has had that one for quite awhile, and it will be one of the first group of CarveWright Projects to be offered at Amazon.com starting on Feb 1st.
I'm pretty sure it will be offered for sale via the CarveWright Store also, but maybe they were waiting for Amazon to start selling it first. I'll ask them about it next time I talk to 'em!
