Default Raised Lettering & 2D Images

Howdy. When routering RAISED lettering & 2D images, the 1/16" bit is the default. At 1/16th inch passes, our usual projects (12x24" Cedar Blanks) are painfully slow.

Do any experienced CW users have proven advice on how to "trick" the software and/or machine to use wider (1/8" or 3/8") bits for clearing more ground faster, please?

    Nope.

Think of how much faster the machine is than if you had a knife in one hand, and a rasp in the other....

    Pretty fast, huh?

    The short answer is no.

The only way to make it go any faster is by choosing a lessor quality when uploading to the card. You probably know that already.

Depending on the size of the letters, I've had good luck using normal and even draft mode but for draft, the letters have to be of substantial size and the project will require more sanding in the end.

For me it's a trade off, more time carving or sanding...hmmmm...let the CW carve. I just HATE sanding.
