    Default Question about depth

    Two questions really:
    - Since the sensor detects the thickness of the board, what is the purpose of the Thickness setting in Board Settings/
    and
    - If I want to carve the same thing (i.e. an address) on both sides of the same board, will the sensor get tricked when it is measuring the board when the 1st carved side is down?
    Thanks

    Default Thickness

    Bob,

Designer needs to know the board thickness in order to be able to show cut-through if you set the depth too deep, do a double-sided carve that carves through the board, and to warn you if you attempt something that might cause problems.
Boards with carvings on both sides require you to tell the machine where to touch the surface. There are two ways to do that, both are described in various threads.
