nothing seems to happen

when i turn on the machine, i see the title of the machine on the screen, but nothing else seems to happen. functions on the machine don't work, is it a defective card or a safety that hasn't been deactivated.

I may indeed be a defective card. Give CW technical support a call. They can walk you through a few checks and send out a new card if needed.
