Thread: removing and replacing head

  1. Default removing and replacing head

can anyone who has actually done this let me know if i'm asking for trouble by attempting this (or should i send the machine back and let them do it). the company is sending another flexshaft assembly since mine became detached from the motor. they e-mailed me the instructions on how to remove the head and then replace it after connecting the new flexshaft. i'm not the most mechanically inclined. Just how difficult is it?

    thanks

are we talking about the same job? i'm not messing with the z-truck at all, i am removing the entire head (held by 2 screws in the back near dust muffler, and 1 on each side when looking down) in order to access the motor in back where the flexshaft sheathing is supposed to be permanently attached. your description is nothing like the email LHR sent me
