    Talking Finished Facade

    Hey Everyone,

As some of you know, my 14.75 hour marathon carve on the Yankee Facade went very well.

My customer wanted to paint and finish it himself. Well, I just received some pictures from him.

So here it is, in all it's "finished" glory. Folks I'll tell ya, he did a FANTASTIC job with the paint, flag poles and mounting. Tells me he even attached the flags with string so they'll wave when the ceiling fan is on. Gotta love it!!

    Did this old woodworker proud!

Only problem is...I haven't heard from him since. I think he's watching re-runs of the world series and won't leave the room...lol

    Chris,

Finished Yankee Facade looks great. I don't think you ever told us what the material was that you carved it from.

    It was carved from a Poplar 1 x 12. Could have used 1 x 10 but didn't have one.

It came out beautiful, Chris. You should be proud. I ain't interested in how much you got for your work, but it wasn't enough.

    Thanks Ken,

It was enough to pay the electric bill so I have one more month of carving I can do...lol

But he tells me many of his Friends are interested so, keeping the fingers crossed....

    Default Electric Bill....

My Electric Bill in the shop this month is $24.00. At peek carving this summer I got a $63.00 bill running the Carve Machine and a 2 HP Dust Collector. Sometimes I ran my second Carver with a 1 HP dust collector.... 10 plus hours a day..... Well worth it.

I am VERY IMPRESSES with your work and dedication.

Here is a thought.... "eBay" To keep eBay from ripping you off for a big job I suggest you run an auction for a "Sample Section" carving and use the finished picture. That way you have them pay say $10.00 for a sample piece you cut for them and eBay is happy.

Then later you work out the deal for the complete section.

I think your product will FLY and you will soon be babysitting a FLEET of 6 Carve Machines making them.... Good think Lake Wallenpaupack in in your neighborhood with it's Power Generation Plant.... You might be dimming the lights..... Snicker....

    Good Job and Good Luck.

I think you are on to something..... SPORTS SELLS and you are not into any Copyright problems with what you are doing.
