Thread: Probing Problems

  1. Default Probing Problems

    Just got the machine today.

I am trying to scan a guitar body. I am having problems so I built a sled. But the problem is body size+ walls of sled = wider than CW can handle. Not sure how to handle that problem. So I gave up scanning a whole guitar. Maybe I'll just do a small section like a pickup hole.

So trying to scan a portion of a body; I put the body in (or any other object this is not limited to a guitar body). It asks me to job to start corner.
I do. I press enter. It says it again. It never moves off that screen. I can move anywhere press enter and it just keeps saying that.

I've tried to scan a normal piece of wood. But I can't get it to move off that first screen.

Also, suggestion to the admin of this site. Allow the word "JOG" to be searched for.

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but when using the probe the machine asks you to jog to a start position which you seem to be doing. Then it asks you to jog to the opposite corner of the area you want to scan. You must use the arrow keys to do this, if you try and hit enter before you do this nothing happens because you are telling it to start and end at the same point. I hope this helps you.
You might want to view Carve Buddy's Scanning Probe video, it will probably answer your questions. Here is the link

When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

No I Job to start.. Press enter.. and then it still says Jog to Start
It's like it doesn't accept it.
