    Question Help with Shipping

Is there a way to get this machine into Canada. I was in Las Vegas at the ACTE convention and seen it in action. I would like to get one and now I am told that they will not ship directly to Canada? What's up with that. I hear that there are a few out there that worked their way around it? Did you simply ship it to a third party and have them ship to you? Any advice will help .

    Hello SikSik:
I recently purchased a Carvewright Compucarve. I happened to be in Nashville and purchased the machine there from Sears. I then had them ship it to a store in Niagara Falls, NY, where I picked it up a week later.
The cost to get it across the border is limited to PST and GST, (13%). There is no duty on this machine, but it does tick me off, that our Customs charges taxes on the entire purchase, (also on the NY sales tax), not just on the cost of the machine.
Good luck. If you need any more info, please write me. Svend.
