Default Rotating a large Sign Design

Thank to the questions from Leo, I developed a 740 MB AVI lesson titled "Rotating a Large Sign Design".
It is intended to show concepts, rather than the only way to accomplish the task at hand.
This link lists many lessons and sub-links =>> http://www2.wcoil.com/~nharbison/cw-... downloads.htm
is also a standard link in my signature section below.

    Default Organize - part 3

I've been removing my patterns from the library section and placing (organizing) then outside of the CW software, in order to speed up the Designer and Editor process. I was getting too many crash situations with my mass of patterns.

Since I was doing this process, I still wanted a way to view the patterns as if they resided in the library. As I worked through this organization, I decided to build a new 286 MB zipped AVI lesson titled "Organize - part 3".

Great idea using hyperlinks in a word document. I just wish designer allowed for preview icons or a better library system for mpc and ptn formats. This would still take a lot of time to do thousands of patterns accumulated.

Default Loading Images while in Pattern Editor

Loading Images while in Pattern Editor

Howdy, I just bought Pattern Editor for my second hand Carvewright, and I'm trying to load images that are JPG.
I only get the selection for mpw and ptn images. I checked in the help and read this:
"1) Go to the File menu and select Open.
    2) Browse to where you have the particular image saved. The software default setting has it looking for MPW file types. MPW files are basic artwork files that the software uses. This can be changed to other file types, such as JPEG, GIF, BMP, or PNG file types. "

My version is 1.182 BUild 9788
Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thank You in advance,
    MKBart

It works! However just to fine tune the instructions a smidge, I'll add/modify this.

While you have pattern Editor activated, click open, and navigate to the folder where you have your image stored.

Drop down to the File-name section and use an old DOS prompt which still works in Window 7! Simply type *** (shift + 8 three times) and press enter.
Now you can choose the image to open with a double-click! From there you may edit as you like.

    Default Conforming Vector Error

I'll begin by stating that Centerline text is dependant upon the font selected for its original carve depth. Increasing or decreasing the text size also changes that original depth, as will applying the BOLD setting.
When applying Conforming Vectors to this text, so that it will carve in a carve region or on a pattern you will find other little road-blocks. You could get an error message because the combined depth is too deep, or the moving parts may strike a higher surface. Each bit has an assigned limit that the software is programmed to consider. Sometimes a few of us assign a different bit to avoid the error, and then substitute the bit we desire (this is done at our personal risk, until LHR adds bits to the selection or modifies the bit standard maximum depth of carve).
This 266 MB lesson is developed to explain one way to resolve an error when using Conforming Vectors on the given text on a specific design.
