Here is my latest 142 MB ZIPPED AVI lesson. It's titled "Making a Complex Pattern".
I begin by using the Scanning Probe to make the first item and progress from there.

Thanks, Bud - that's a good one.

Thanks,
I just make another one today. I wake up with ideas and just run with them!
Hopefully LHR will take the hint and provide Gradients, of all sorts, on the "Select Surface" Icon. It would be so much better/easier.
The new lesson is titled: "Making a Triangle with a Gradient or Taper".
It's in my "Download" section, below, for everyones use.

Please remember that we have a "CarveWright Designer Wishlist" thread that you can use for suggestions to LHR. We do not get to monitor every thread or every post on the forum. It helps if you post your suggestions or requests there.
Tip: If there is a certain thread you are interested in always getting notification of when a post is made to that thread, just SUBSCRIBE to that thread. Go to that thread; click on "Thread Tools" in the light gray bar at the beginning of the thread; then select "Subscribe to this Thread". You can specify method of notification and frequency of notification.
Lynn,
Sorry if I hit a nerve!
Several of us have suggested gradients/tapers be included in these options.
One of my posts is this link:
http://forum.carvewright.com/showthr...821#post117821
It was not so much to use my data as it was to provide a comprehensive Gradient/Taper selection within the options.

You didn't hit a nerve. That's just generally the only thread engineers watch regularly unless I or someone else checking forum bring a thread to their attention.
My "Download" section, below, has a new 101 MB AVI lesson on one way to "Search the Pattern Sharing Depot"

Thanks Bud all your lessons are very much appreciated. I have used many of them and refer to them at times for refresher.
Using Designer 1.187, STL importer, Center line, conforming vectors, scanning probe/PE, and the ROCK chuck.
