    Default Through cutting

I've had my machine for about a week and have made the test pattern for the winds_grill. Can this carving be made with the cuts going all the way through? I don't own a planer so I can't plane my wood down to a set thickness yet. The pattern looks like each little section has the depth set. Do I have to change the depth for each little area or is there a way to safely set all the areas so that the open areas are cut out?

    OK,

First, Hi Gallaher, and a warm welcome.

I am going to assume you are using 3/4" material. So with the MPC (project) file open in designer do the following

    1) Go to Edit at the top, then Board Settings, then change thickness to 0.750 hit OK

2)Then look for the 2 rectangular icons on the carve menu to the left set the depth to .80, see the thumbnail I put on here to show you.

If your carve list is not showing on yours go to View, Tool bars and check Carving list

Hope this is what you were looking for
