    Default Set Screws Question

When you install a new bit into an adapter. I know that you loctite the screws but what I am wondering is if the set screws should protrude the same distsnce from the adapter after they are tightened?

If your talking about the same distance on each side , I would say yes. If one is sticking out farther than the other ,then one must not be screwed in as far as the other.

It depends on wether there is a flat spot on both sides of the bit. Some only have one. That will make it stick out further.

That's what I have. It's one of the bits from precisebits. Only one side is flat. Thanks for the replies.
