Once again awesome present, she looks very happy!

Clint, I used a bunch of quarter-inch maple and wood glue when same-grain and epoxy on cross-grain.
This photo shows part done and part undone.
The inside piece is in a square-cut and the outside pieces have bevel edges where they attach to the top-bottom-front-back pieces.
Where the outside (end) pieces touch each other, they just butt.
Here are the two types of joints I used on the box edges.
The lower (and left) shows the joint on the ends and the other (right) one was used where the 1/2" pieces join (top/back/bottom/front).
(you can see where the with-grain route scarred the end joint on the left piece)
I made a jig to cut the bevel ends on my cheap tablesaw to keep all of my fingers healthy.
I have a 12 inch disk sander to dress the pieces to size from rough-cuts on the saw.
Here is another picture showing how I kept the lines straight (handy little saw and file).
On close inspection you can see how the quarter inch material is attached.

It looks like a clean and organized shop. I wonder what that's like! LOL.
One advantage of posting pictures is that you get to select and crop the photos .
I looked at my messy shop the other day and wondered if I will ever again clean it up.
One of my biggest problems is that I find it difficult to throw anything away for fear of needing it later.
My next biggest problem is that I'm getting lazy!
(Actually, my right shoulder, that is always used, is worn out).
Question: does anyone on the forum use prolotherapy or prolozone therapy for their arthritis?
Prolotherapy gave me back the use of my thumb a couple of years ago.
I just started work on my shoulder last month, still too early to tell.
A little while ago I thought I'd Google the origin of the wooden bow and found it here.

I haven't posted on this thread in awhile. Got a new shoulder last year and had other issues.
Getting older is sooooo much fun
Anyway, I felt the guy that gave me back the use of my right arm needed a gift, so I started
a purpleheart (with poplar lettering) name-plate last year, but things went South and I just finished it.
And some fuzzy pictures.
I also made two Litho gifts that I'll post separately.
