Nicely done! I have always wanted to try one of those but never have... perhaps I might. Great job with the end details too making it look like a wrapped box.

Again, thank you for your comments.
Floyd, I know better than that, I was a better ironworker and programmer than a carpenter/cabinetmaker (about as good as I was a theraspist).
At my age I can take my time to do things, and with my physical limitations I HAVE to take my time when doing things.
A lot of times it is only because of my physical limitations that I can take pride in some of the things that I do.
This project went surprisingly well except for the times I dropped and dented it.

Very Very Impressive Doc Wheeler. Seems like just when I start complaining about not being able to do something with my CW ... here you come along and put me back in my place to get me to stop griping! LOL The stuff you do WITH your physical limitation........ I just can't see it amigo. I think the Lord just likes to "show you off" to people like me that start complaining about not being able to do stuff. ha ha Yup.... he has a way of doing things like that. One day.... I'll make an attempt at that bow, BUT I won't show it here unless it comes out right. LOL

Jerry, you are very kind. The Lord was truly with me on this several times.
I was worried about the hinge-holes that had to be exact - they came out right.
There are over 50 pieces in this design; not counting ther glue-ups to get width
or the three-ply ribbon board. Each of those pieces represented a chance to screw-up.
When the finish was complete and it was time to glue on the tag and bow I about screwed-up big-time.
The "string" that I selected for the tag is really a piece of ground-wire from my DC.
I had to carve a slot in the ribbon to bury the end. The "V" carving chisle slipped and went across the top.
Luckily it did not touch the surface.

Thank you once again; it makes me feel good to have people who do such outstanding work compliment mine.
It makes a difference having someone who understands the complexities say nice things about the work.

You did a fantastic job on the "wrapped" jewelry box Ken. What a beautiful present that makes. My compliments and thanks for sharing your photos.
