Jewlery box and more projects by Doc Wheeler

I guess I'd better post a picture or two.
The jewelry box is very similar to Britt Yenne's and the oak house number is similar to another design that was posted.
The jewelry box, with legs and writing on the bottom, is cherry with 8 applications of oil/poly/thinner. I also faintly included my initials and year on the back.
It seems as though I was casting a shadow on the right sides of the box.

Nice work on the Jewery box. Here are some photos of a Jelwery box I just finished for my daughter-in-law. It is made of OAK. One coat of sanding sealer and two coats of poly-urathane.

The inside of the lid has a small version of the top of the lid painted and glued to the underside.

Going to have to use your mirror idea
