Probe scratch problem

Just got off the phone with CW. Engineers suggestion for the probe scratching items you scan: Fine sandpaper or emery and polish the tip of the probe. They are just really hearing of this problem recently(?) and are working on it. But that's the fix for now, straight out of the mouths of the engineers, I told them I would post this, and after trying this, they are looking for feedback from anyone who uses this method.

I tried a fine diamond file on mine. Didn't make any difference.
