Default This Thread is for the Dogs

I have been concentrating on patterns lately and making some birthday and special occasion plaques. I have found that wood is not as easy to detail as is medal. Wood doesn't stay put. It swells when wet, and just about the time you think you have it sanded and shaped exactly the way you want it, you hold it up to the light and find flaws. I have therefore resigned myself to wood is not supposto be perfect.
My wife's painting covers up some inconsistencies in the finish.

Ted, always great to see your patterns and carvings
And your wife's painting make them that much better!
