    Default Scans easier

I found that if I remove the flex cable from the cutting head before scanning that I do not risk lash when opening the front cover and then closing it again and the head seems to move more freely.

I had to stop my scan once to remove a piece of trash on my scan object. When I closed the cover, the probe moved very shaply and unplugged the probe. I decided I didn't want to distroy the probe so I removed the flex cable.

I'm not sure what CW thinks of this, but it has worked fine for the last 80 scans.

    Default Great advice

Makes a lot of sense... i bet that taking the time to wipe down the rails that the trucks ride on so they are very clean would make a differnce too... the smoother the motion the better the resolution of the scan... I cant wait to get my scanner... its been about a month now waiting....
