Question about Jogging to position

I have never used jog to position function and need some info. The picture shows the wood I want to do center-line text on. I will be cutting it in half to make two separate signs and using a sled. On each half I drew triangles to get dimensions for my virtual board. Now when using the jog function do I jog to the corner of my virtual board or to the location I want the text to start? Hope i am clear on what I'm after. Thanks, Mike
