I never got very good at making wooden spoons. After I got a good one for myself I pretty much haven't done one since.
Its a two sided carve so you will have to figure out what works for you on carving depths since you are carving from both sides. You can try to carve to depth or carve short of half way and then cut out the pattern with a cutting bit.

Here are two patterns I shared a while ago. Nothing special but something to play and practice with until you get your special design. Do not trust the depths on the patterns. I had no clue what I was doing when I made them and was learning myself. After 3 years I have pretty much forgotten everything I learned at the time. There are several other patterns in the share section that are better.
