Latest project. Antique coin bank. Made for someone who likes this particular type of coin. I hired oscarl48 to create the 3d patterns of the obverse and reverse. His skills are amazing. The coin portion is 6" round and about 2 1/4" thick.
Everything is hard maple. Coin finish was metallic silver spray paint, base was clear shellac scraped flat and then buffed with #0000 steel wool to get a satin sheen. I am very pleased with how it came out, especially the coin detail.
