Talking about bird houses. I was in the garage playing around trying to figure out something when I saw a bird fly in. Didn't think much of it since they usually fly in catch a bug and fly out. But after a few seconds no flying out. So started looking around. Dang bird made a nest in my motorcycle helmet. I was about to shoo it out when my wife explained to me that no bird was being evicted in this time of hardship and to suck it up.

    Who needs bird houses.

I might have had to suggest that I was 'relocating the nest vs evicting the tenant". Good luck

Birds have to build nests to rear their young. Birds construct nests in areas they think are safe. Now you have a fairly smart bird there. The good news is, the young hatch and learn to fly and all will go away shortly after and will give up the helmet.

    Oscar,
Finally, my take on the Old Man Spirit birdhouses... the perch is suppose to look like a “smoker’s” pipe. Not real happy with the way I finished them but my better half gave her approval, one more thing off the honeydew list!
    Thanks again,
    Gary

Gary, I think they came out great and the pipes look really good. Let us know if the birds like them.

My squatter/trespass birds are finally out of my helmet. My wife had a blast seeing all the little fledglings learning to fly in my garage. I of course was kicked out of my shop because I could potentially scare the babies.
