Default Designer Pro 3? Designer Pro? Designer 3?

I'm confused over the software names.

I bought a project from the CW pattern store. The requirements were "Designer Pro 3" and a "1/8" long carving bit". I thought I had both of those things, but when I opened the project, I was informed I couldn't save or upload anything without "advanced 3D". I searched the term "advanced 3D" and was directed to the Designer pro 3 software package.

The software I bought with my CW was sold as "Project Designer Pro".
My licences are listed as "Version 3 Upgrade" and "Version 3 standalone"

I thinking the project should work. Where did I go wrong?

Do you have the add on software Pattern Modeling Suite (3d Advanced)? I believe that is what its asking for.

No, I don't have Pattern Modeling suite. It wasn't listed on the requirements for the pattern.

    REQUIRES:

    • Project Designer PRO 3
    • 1/8" Long Carving Bit

Does that sort of thing happen a lot around here?

Do you have a link to the project? I've seen that warning before on a few projects that I have posted for others but they reported no issues when trying to use it.

I did the "try" feature but was only able to open the pdf file. Have you tried to upload it to the card? If that does not work you should contact CarveWright.

Ok, so I do have the correct software then? So many different names, I wasn't sure if I had the right one or not. Thanks

Carvewright fixed it for me. It's working now.
