    Default Y shaft update

Y shaft update - please read.

Yesterday I had a fellow carver break a Y gear installing one of my shafts. He indicated it was a newer y gear box with the bigger bearing. After inspecting a newer y gear, it showed the press fit shaft diameter was changed to be smaller than the original by about .008". This is too tight to press into the newer nylon gear.

I will begin making ones for the newer y gearbox as soon as possible (next week) and I will be happy to exchange any shafts people would like to swap out for the newer size. I will cover the shipping costs for the exchanges. Keep in mind if you have the older gear boxes to rebuild, the shafts sent out to date will still work with them. This is only if you are working with the newer gearbox shafts.

Please message me here or on Facebook if you have questions.

    Thanks,

    Tim
