    Default 4 inch rotary calibration

Hi gang...how does the CW know if im calibrating for a 2in. dowel vs. a 4in. dowel. First test was with a 2in dowel, all went well. I placed a 4in dowel into the rotary jig, calibration is over shooting by about 2in. Again, how does the CW know what the diameter is to be calibrating?

I believe it is for the size you set up for the project.

The dowel diameter does not matter. One does not even need a dowel. One only needs a way to measure complete revolutions.

I do not think your dowel diameter is the reason for the overshooting. Calibration is very sensitive to how the jig is clamped in the machine.
