These are a couple of Western themed items I have been working on. After having my machine for seven years thought I would finally try a pierced carving. For a first try I am pretty happy with it.

I agree, you should be very happy with the final product. Haven't had the nerve to try one myself but your project does make me want to make something that beautiful.

Both are very nice projects but your pierced Welcome Sign takes 1st prize.

Thanks for all the compliments, the pierced carving is definitely my favorite. Now I just need to decide if I should call it complete with just the letters painted or add more color to it. If I had Sharon's painting ability I would do more but I am afraid of screwing it up.

Color me jealous. Both are beautiful carvings and IMHO the pierced welcome carving needs no more coloring. It is perfect as is. If you don't mind my asking where did you get the patterns for these?
