I’m trying to understand cutouts - if you start with a circle - then add a square the same size as the circle - can someone tell me how to cutout the 4 almost triangle shaped corners?
Thanks,

Thanks,
Do you select both and Select Outline and Assign a Bit to the outline and erase the Circle and Rectangle... I think....

See attached, select a 1/2” grid, snap to grid, draw the arc and the outside corner, this creates a region, select cutpath, flip to the outside and accept, next mirror all four corners and do a cutpath on each.
hope this helps

I have often wondered why it is that

Thanks - can you help me again - start with a circle-then put Rosette04 inside the circle with tips touching circle- now how do you cut out the space between circle and rosette? Thanks again,
This somewhat more difficult, first draw the arc first, then with “ connected line tool” you trace over the rosette with many line sections until you reach the other end of the arc. Turn on cutpath, do not flip the cut. You willhave todo each side separately.
