Lightbulb Pinstriping as a vector tracing patterns

I haven't done a lot of vector tracing, and I haven't had time to use my Carvewright much in recent years until recently.
So I've been practicing and relearning the software again.
I saw some pinstriping on a motorcycle awhile back and thought it would make a cool vector carve design.
I didn't recall seeing anyone else try it so I thought I would share my experiment.

    Below is my first attempt.
This is not what I think of as the quintessential pinstripe, but the low level of complexity seemed like a pretty good plan to practice on.

I imported the image and traced it using the Smart Spline tool, and assigned bits using the Depth Profile tool.

Not terribly impressive, but a proof of concept, and I thought it might spark an idea for a project for one of you to try.

Next, ramp up to something more difficult..........

Let me know if you try it.

I have not done it as pin striping but have done several designs to make the lines look better. Have fun playing and learning!

Your carve design looks better than the drawing.

Thanks Clint, I thought so too.

I have more designs I wanted to work with, and I planned on posting my results by now.
But something happened and I just plain ran out of time, hopefully soon I'll have time to work on the ones I really wanted to try.
