I have a carve region for the ears at .15" deep and another region at .10" for the face. I cannot get them lined up exactly so i get a tall ridge between the two regions. How can i eliminate this?? I am a rookie at creating my own patterns and am having fun so far. Your help with this is appreciated Thanks!

I’m not sure if fixes the problem, see attached, I notice the ears line and the top of the face lines does not match, I also inverted the face and make the eyes stand out, you could play with the depth btwn the two, if all fails a good flat sander will take care of the line.
    hope this helps

Getting the curves to match up exactly is what i was having trouble with ;-/
I thought maybe there was a way to "snap" edges to each other or match up to an adjacent edge... Thanks for your input

I had little trouble too, but I then highlighted the ears, do an outline pattern, this will give you a dash line around the ears,
then using the “ arc tool” you can trace the dash lines better and use plenty of small arcs.. then I inverted the face and did a medium draft and “no feather” , this will give you a better finish, same depth setting on both.

I used the 3D tool, puffing, to build the face.

Note on the MPC file, I shrank the face down to make the file size smaller so I could upload it. Once you have it open do a select all and use the yellow corner arrows to make it bigger.
