You'll have to convert to dxf or stl depending on the model.

CorelDraw or other vector graphic software can convert to dxf.

AutoCAD of course can convert to dxf or stl.

Hopefully someone has a simpler solution.

STL and DFX formats needs the add on importers to work with the Carvewright software.

Is the file of a 2d or 3d model?

DXF and STL formats will require an add-on to be readable by the CW designer software.

If its 2d, it will require more than likely the DXF importer add-on.

If 3d then the STL importer add-on or Pattern sculptor should work.

When porting from Autocad you want to ensure the model mesh, if 3d, does not have any tears or open spots in a visible mesh. Some software does not do well with that. Designer specifically does not like that and tends to crash.
