Its not the cover switch. That would give an error asking to close the cover. I have seen that message when accidentally leaving the cover up after loading the board or changing a tool. The cover is down but the cut motor just won't come on.

The LEFT cover switch talks to the Computer and tells it when the cover is open. The RIGHT switch is a safety switch for the cut motor and is in the path of the return wire of the cut motor. The computer does not know if the right switch is not working. The cut motor will not start with the right switch open.
So in review the black wire from the X termination board goes to the black wire of the cut motor.
The white wire from the cut motor goes THROUGH either wire of the Right side Safety Switch and to the X Termination Board white wire.
