Thread: Looking for help to 2D model an object

  1. Default Looking for help to 2D model an object

I found this replica of the Sun Voyager in Iceland, that I would like to carve from Lexan.

I have several views of this and do not know much about creating the 7 2D pieces necessary to carve. It appears there is a "keel" piece, a gunnel piece (the one curved) and 5 "rowers", 4 of which appear identical and the forward on has some longer "oars".

Can the pieces be modeled from the photos?

Are there members that would/could do this for a fee?

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thank you

It would be quite difficult to trace the parts that are pictured at an angle. Maybe you should make a model out of cardboard and then scan the pieces. The scans would be easy to trace.
