Thread: Problems with cutting

  1. Default Problems with cutting

I am trying to produce the Eagle Box project that I purchased from CarveWright. When my machine begins cutting the pattern out, the left side of the pattern is more narrow than the right side (It's even in the software). In other words, if looking at the board length-wise, the pattern is cut unevenly on the left than the right. Any thoughts on what to do and how to troubleshoot the problem? It only happens when being cut out. Using 1?8" cutting bit and using Poplar right now as a test wood.

If it shows up that way in the software then it sounds like the cut path is offset and needs to be moved. I just opened up the project and everything seems to be aligned correctly.

There is a view setting on Designer. Perspective I believe it is called. Don't have Designer on this computer....

Depending on the setting if you are looking at a project items up down and left and right of center of screen may look centered but if you adjust something then move the screen edge to the center you could see it was offset. So I believe you turn it off so everything up down and left and right adjusted will be correct.
