Thread: universal carrier error

  1. Default universal carrier error

I use the universal carrier base for almost all my projects, recently it's been giving me problems. I'm always getting a check board sensor errors when measuring.. but if I just put a piece of wood in without the carrier, it measures fine. Any ideas??

I've had that problem several times and raising the board just a little higher in the UCB did the trick.

Darker woods will often cause board senor issues, not sure if that would be your issue just throwing it out there

Thanks, I'll try raising the board. Not using any special woods, just regular pine.

It may be that the black sections on the UCB rails need "re-blacking". Black felt markers seem to fade over time.
