    Question Cross cut out, without patern

    I'm trying to take a short Bible verse and put a cross around it,and cut out the cross. Can anyone help

    Draw your cross shape first, use the snap to grid function, and then add your verse. When you have it like you want select the cross shape and then use the cut path tool to cut it out.

    Ok,,,,,, How do I draw a cross,,, 2 rectangles cross each other in the middle.

    attached is the simple way to draw a cross using the multi line tool with snap to grid on.
    you start any where any size and return to the start point.
    turn on cutpath on, flip the cutpath to the outside.
    you can enlarge the size of the cross by moving the yellow corner arrows.

    I bet you get tired of people like me,,,,, I cut out a cross after reading last message??? can't turn on cut path

    Have you checked that the your cut path is a closed loop? You can do that by going to View on the top of the screen and scroll down to "Toggle non-end points" If any red nodes show that means they are not connected. You will have to move one of the nodes on top of the other to make it a closed loop.

    I did not see toggle non-end points, but after the 2nd attempt It worked. Thank you

    Good Luck in your carvewright adventures.. It's a really fun machine... You can also view some videos on youtube that can be helpful .. Learning the machine is as important as learning the software.. The machine WILL require repair n maint.
